Abstract

|
Paracentesis is a relatively safe procedure; however, hemorrhagic complications can occur and can be fatal. Here, we report a case of abdominal wall hematoma after paracentesis resulting in mortality in a 31-year-old woman with cirrhosis with a discussion on how bedside paracentesis procedural safety can be enhanced.
